Dream Tending 2020-2021

The 2020-2021 Dream Tending Certificate Program is a limited-enrollment program that takes place over four, three-day sessions. The September and November sessions will take place in an online format. The January and April sessions will occur at Pacifica Graduate Institute’s Lambert Road Campus. The four courses reflect the multiple dimensions of psychic life and the dream. Learning in dream theory and methodology is both content based and experiential . Much of the learning will also take place in the dimension of dream life that is sensitive to aesthetic perceiving, poetic imagining, shamanic intuiting, and the art of not-knowing. The Dream Tending Certificate Program offers. Continuing Education Credits. Participants should have previous Dream Tending experience. Those who successfully complete the program and review will have completed Module One in becoming Certified Dream Tending Practitioners. Enrollment is limited.

Course One — The Living Image—Tool Set
(Essential skills and methods of understanding and tending Dreams)
Monday, September 7 – Wednesday, September 9, 2020
This course will take place in an online format.

Course Two — Nightmares—Tending the Intolerable Image
(A practical approach to discovering the healing possibilities existing in nightmarish images of dreams)
Monday, November 2 – Wednesday, November 4, 2020
This course will take place in an online format.

Course Three — The World’s Dream—Advanced Methods of Animation 
(In these uncertain times, filled with both destructive and generative impulses, a way of listening to the psyche of World speak through the figures of dreams)
Monday, January 11 – Wednesday, January 13, 2021
This course will take place on the Pacifica Lambert Campus.

Course Four — Medicines of the Soul—Dream Healing Practices
(An actual experience in a Healing Sanctuary of Dreams to learn about the healing power of dreams in relation to physical illness)
Monday, April 12 – Wednesday, April 14, 2021
This course will take place on the Pacifica Lambert Campus.

  1. The number and type of Dr. Stephen Aizenstat’s Dream Tending and/or related programs you have attended.
  2. Your present life situation in relation to undertaking an advanced intensive in Dream Tending.
  3. A self-evaluation of your current skill level in relation to dreamwork.

*CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT:

76 continuing education credits are available for MFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and LEPs through the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (provider #67021), for RNs through the California Board of Registered Nurses (provider #CEP 7177), and for psychologists through the California Psychological Association (PAC014). Pacifica Graduate Institute maintains responsibility for this program and its content. Full attendance at the program is required to receive a certificate. A $25 fee will be charged for each certificate requested.

He asks us to experiment with a worldview that playfully and soulfully sees the world as alive and always dreaming…in an attitude of wonderment, curiosity and presence. This inquiry was a driving force in Dr. Aizenstat’s creation of Pacifica Graduate Institute, a center for the study of the human experience through depth psychology, mythology, and the humanities.

Professor Aizenstat has served as an organizational consultant to leading Tech Companies, Hollywood films, community and educational institutions, and he has lectured extensively on the subject of dreams, the deep imagination, new technologies, and organizational development. He is affiliated with the Earth Charter International project through the United Nations, where he has spoken. Professor Aizenstat has been mentored by and collaborated with many notable masters in the field including Joseph Campbell, James Hillman, Marion Woodman and Robert Johnson. He has conducted sold-out Dream Tending seminars, workshops and “pop-up” events in the U.S. Asia and Europe.

Enrollment:

An enrollment invitation will be sent via email to those who are accepted into the program. Payment for registration fees will be processed at that time.

Fees:

The tuition for the Dream Tending Certificate program includes instruction and selected reading material. Additionally, all participants pay the Meal Fee, which includes all meals and break service. Please contact heidi@dreamtending.com for program pricing.

Scholarships:

A limited number of partial scholarships are available to those who find it prohibitive to pay the full cost of the seminar. To apply, send a letter of request explaining the situation with your application. Please be specific regarding your financial circumstances.

Program Cancellation: 

To obtain a refund on your registration fee, send a written cancellation request postmarked no later than July 15, 2020. A refund, less a $100 administrative fee, will be provided until July 15. No refunds for tuition will be issued after July 15, 2020 and credits will be provided for future programs.  Meal refunds will be determined based on the time of cancellation.[/fusion_text][/one_full][/fullwidth]
